New iZon Sun Lenses Launched

NEW iZON® SUN LENSES—A REVOLUTIONARY ADVANCE IN PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASS LENSES
Proprietary new process provides a more stable color that won’t fade with age like conventional lenses
VISTA, Calif. (July 9, 2008) —Ophthonix, Inc., makers of iZon® High Resolution Eyeglass Lenses, today announced the launch of iZon Gray Sun Lenses, a revolutionary advancement in prescription sunglass lenses.
iZon Sun Lenses are the only lenses available with a unique three-layer lens manufacturing process. The dyes are incorporated into the iZonikTM polymer, which forms the middle layer of the three-layer iZon Sun Lens. This process allows Ophthonix to use dyes that are more stable than the traditional dyes used in the standard dip process, thus resulting in a more stable color. In contrast to the conventional tinted lenses this allows for more consistent color.
iZon High Resolution Lenses optimize vision by providing clearer, sharper, more vivid sight through a customized corrective lens. They can increase vision quality in areas where standard eyeglass lenses fail by improving depth perception, crispness, and color perception. iZon High Resolution Lenses can be prescribed for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, and are available in a progressive design. Current iZon wearers have described their vision as High-Definition, comparing their experience to the difference between regular TV and HDTV.

The iZon Sun Lenses are prescribed using the same process as clear iZon High Resolution Lenses. Eye care professionals utilize the Z-View Wavefront aberrometer to measure the second to sixth order aberrations of the eye which determines the optical fingerprint, or iPrint.TM Each lens is then individually manufactured to meet the unique vision needs of each patient. Just like clear iZon Lenses, iZon Gray Sun Lenses are UV blocking and comes with premium scratch resistant, anti-reflective and super hydrophobic coatings. The iZon Gray Sun Lenses are now available and the company expects to release other popular colors in the near future.
